Description
The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “Jumbo” Extra-Thin Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Chronograph (RD#5) 26545XT.OO.1240XT.01 was introduced in 2025 as part of the Manufacture’s 150th anniversary celebrations. Produced in a limited edition of 150 pieces, it represents the fifth and final entry in the Research and Development series, following milestones such as the Supersonnerie, the ultra-thin perpetual calendar, the ultra-thin flying tourbillon, and the Universelle.
The watch is housed in a 39mm titanium case only 8.1mm thick, with bezel, caseback, push-pieces, and crown chip executed in bulk metallic glass (BMG). The case integrates discreet, touch-inspired chronograph pushers designed for a smoother, more intuitive operation. Water resistance is 20 metres.
The dial is finished with a blue Petite Tapisserie pattern, featuring chronograph counters at 3 and 9 o’clock, a flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock, and a silver-grey inner bezel. White gold luminescent bathtub-style hands and applied markers complete the display. A sapphire caseback reveals the new calibre 8100.
The integrated titanium bracelet, fitted with BMG links and an AP folding clasp, continues the Royal Oak’s ergonomic focus, balancing thinness, durability, and wearability.
